General Program Information
Who can play for the Bayhawks?
Our program is open to boys and girls in grades K-12. Teams are grouped by age and experience to ensure proper development and safety.
Do players need prior lacrosse experience?
No! We welcome beginners though experienced players. Our coaching staff focuses on skill development at every level.
Where are practices and games held?
This depends on the division. Please see the Programs page for specifics.
Registration & Fees
How do I register my player?
Registration is completed online through our website. Links are posted each season once registration opens.
What does the registration fee cover?
Fees typically cover coaching, league registration, uniforms (jersey/pinnie, shooter shirt, shorts), field rentals, referees, and administrative costs.
Equipment
What equipment does my player need?
All players need a stick, helmet (boys), googles (girls), mouthguard, gloves, chest protector, cleats, and a cup (boys only) and must meet USA Lacrosse standards. See Equipment Guidelines under Resources.
Is a mouthguard required to practice and play?
YES
Where can I buy USA Lacrosse gear for my lacrosse player?
Bundle packages are typically the most cost-effective option and are available through most major online lacrosse retailers, including:

Practices & Games
How often do teams practice?
Most teams practice 2-3 times per week. Schedules are shared prior to the season and updated as needed.
When are games played?
Games are typically played on Saturday’s. Youth teams will play 2 games in a single day.
What if my player misses a practice or game?
We understand conflicts happen. Please notify your coach through TeamReach if your player will be absent so they may plan accordingly.
Communication
What is the primary method of communication?
TeamReach is our primary communication platform for schedules, updates, reminders, and last-minute changes. The registering parent will be invited to your group after registration closes. Parents are welcome to add spouses or partners to the group to keep all household members informed however please refrain from adding players. The TeamReach chats are for parents/care givers only.
How do I make sure I do not miss important updates?
Enable notifications in TeamReach and ensure your profile identifies your role (i.e., [Player]’s Mom, [Player]’s Dad, etc. TeamReach also allows users to subscribe to the calendar which will place events on your local device calendar.
Weather & Cancellations
What happens if weather impacts practice or games?
Weather decisions are made with player safety in mind. Any cancellations or changes will be communicated via TeamReach.
Parents & Spectators
Can parents attend practices and games?
Yes! We love having families involved and cheering for the team. Please follow any posted field rules and help keep players safe.
Are siblings allowed at practices?
Yes, but siblings must be closely supervised at all times, especially near parking lots and fields.
Coaching & Conduct
Who are the Bayhawks coaches?
Most of our coaches are experienced players but all are leaders dedicated to developing athletes both on and off the field.
What is expected of players and parents?
We expect sportsmanship, respect, and a team-first mindset from everyone representing the Bayhawks.
